Caption:
This photomicrograph revealed the presence of an Entamoeba histolytica trophozoite, which was photographed here, while it was alive. This organism was displaying a limax-type of movement, which means it moved much like a garden slug, crawling, or advancing its anterior body, by extending a single, large pseudopodium, while pulling itself forward.
