This left lateral view of a man’s face, revealed a cutaneous lesion on his jaw line, which exhibited erythema, and overlying hair loss. It was determined that this lesion had been the result of a dermatophytic infection, brought on by the fungal organism, Trichophyton mentagrophytes.
