This child was receiving a physical exam at the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief-Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (PEPFAR-CDC)-supported Pediatric Center of Excellence (PCOE), in the University Teaching Hospital (UTH), located in Lusaka, Zambia. The PCOE was established at the UTH to provide comprehensive care for HIV-exposed, and HIV-infected children, as well as to facilitate the training, and dissemination of pediatric HIV expertise.
