This image depicted an anterior view of a man’s torso, and revealed the presence of a patchy, erythematous rash upon his chest, neck, and abdomen, which was determined to be a case of tinea versicolor, due to the fungus Malassezia furfur, formerly known as Pityrosporum ovale.
