This image depicted a close view of what had been the aftermath of a brown recluse, Loxosceles reclusa spider bite. Note the resultant localized erythematous reaction, which would subsequently evolve into an area of frank tissue necrosis, resembling that seen in other cases depicted in PHIL 23314 and 23315.
