This image depicted a dorsal view of a male Dermacentor sp. tick, highlighting the fact that it’s scutum covered its entire dorsal abdomen, and that the organism possessed four pairs of jointed legs, placing it in the class of Arachnida. This tick can be a potential vector for Rocky Mountain spotted fever (RMSF), and tularemia.
