This image depicted a frontal view of a Petri dish culture plate, upon which a precipitin test was being conducted, involving the diagnostic culture, 44-226-65, of Actinomyces israelii bacteria. Positive reactions resulted involving A. israelii antiserum X-522, within well-1, and A. israelii antiserum A-601, within well-2. The central well contained A. israelii 44-226-65 antigen. Wells 3, 4, 5, and 6, containing X-695, X-600, X-454, and no antiserum, respectively, all produced no reaction.
