Under 6X magnification, this image depicts a frontal view of a blood agar culture plate inoculated with Propionibacterium propionicus, strain W857 (formerly Actinomyces propionicus and Arachnia propionica). After 10 days of incubation, the plate produced these three mature bacterial colonies.
