Caption:
This photograph depicts a slightly left anterior-oblique (AO) view of the head and neck of a 2¾-year-old girl. The patient extended her neck for the photograph, accentuating the presence of enlarged submandibular and cervical lymph nodes consistent with lymphadenopathy. The swellings had been present for three months prior to the image being captured and initially did not respond to antibiotic therapy. A toxoplasmosis titer was subsequently ordered and returned positive at 1:512, supporting a diagnosis of acquired toxoplasmosis.
