This photomicrograph shows the reaction observed when a 1:4 dilution sample was analyzed for Toxoplasma gondii using the indirect fluorescent antibody test (IFAT) and viewed under fluorescent illumination. Formalin-fixed T. gondii tachyzoites served as the slide-bound antigen to which the 1:4 sample was applied. Note the green fluorescence concentrated at the anterior pole of each tachyzoite.
