This photomicrograph shows the reaction observed when a 1:16 positive control dilution was analyzed for Toxoplasma gondii using the indirect fluorescent antibody test (IFAT) and viewed under fluorescent illumination. The 1:16 positive control produced the expected positive result, with prominent fluorescence highlighting the nonviable T. gondii tachyzoites on the slide.
