This photomicrograph shows the reaction observed when a 1:256 positive control dilution was analyzed for Toxoplasma gondii using the indirect fluorescent antibody test (IFAT) and viewed under fluorescent illumination. Formalin-fixed T. gondii tachyzoites served as the slide-bound antigen to which the positive control sample was applied. Note the green fluorescence of the tachyzoites following exposure to the positive sample.
