This historic photograph shows a view from the World Health Organization (WHO) Smallpox Eradication (W.H.O.S.E.) guest house in the Dhanmondi neighborhood of Dacca (Dhaka), Bangladesh. Visible in the distance is the roofline of the residence of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, identifiable by its tangerine and white trim façade. This was the home attacked during the coup d'état that resulted in Sheikh Mujibur Rahman’s assassination on August 15, 1975, at approximately 6:00 a.m.
