This illustration highlights morphologic features of gravid proglottids of the beef tapeworm Taenia saginata (left) and the pork tapeworm Taenia solium (right). T. saginata proglottids are longer and contain more numerous uterine branches than those of T. solium. Adult T. saginata tapeworms typically measure 5–25 meters in length, whereas T. solium tapeworms measure approximately 2–7 meters.
