This photograph presents an anterior view of a patient’s right foot, showing swelling and numerous soft tissue lesions associated with a chronic inflammatory fungal disease known as maduromycosis, more specifically eumycetoma. The causative fungal organism was not specified. This condition most commonly involves the feet and is therefore referred to as Madura foot. See PHIL 24218 for a lateral view of this condition.
