This photomicrograph shows a culture of the yeast-like fungus Candida albicans grown on cornmeal with Tween®-80 agar (CMTA). Numerous conidia-bearing mycelial elements are present, including blastoconidia formed along filamentous hyphae that terminate in larger, round chlamydoconidia. Pseudohyphae are also observed.
