This image shows a close anterior view of the face of a 6-year-old boy. A red, blotchy, papular rash is visible over the face, predominantly around the eyes and across the cheeks. This rash has been attributed to the autoimmune condition dermatomyositis, which had been diagnosed 2 years prior to this image. See PHIL 24321 for a view of this patient’s left hand demonstrating additional manifestations of this rash.
