This image shows the feet of a 4-month-old infant with transposition of the great vessels, complicated by thrombosis affecting the feet. This view was obtained earlier than that shown in PHIL 24325, taken 27 days later, in which black discoloration and necrosis of the distal left foot are evident, necessitating amputation. It was noted that the infant was still alive at 10 months of age.
