Caption:
This image shows a close plantar view of the feet of a 1-year-old female patient. The patient had been diagnosed with a suspected viral condition, reticuloendotheliosis. Bilaterally, the feet demonstrate features of brachydactyly, an inherited condition characterized by shortening of the toes. There is also irregular spacing between the toes, and the great toes exhibit dorsal deviation. See PHIL 24337 and 24339 for additional views of this patient’s condition, demonstrating abnormalities of the hands and jaundice, respectively.
