This image shows an anterior view of a male patient’s face, highlighting findings consistent with grade IV cystic acne vulgaris, the most severe form of the disease. Pathologic features include numerous comedones, pustules, underlying nodules, and cysts. Irregular scarring is also evident, disrupting the normally smooth surface of the skin.
