This image shows an anteroposterior (AP) chest radiograph dated August 23, 1962, of a patient later diagnosed with coccidioidomycosis caused by Coccidioides immitis. Obtained 49 days after the radiograph shown in PHIL 24389 and following therapeutic intervention, this study demonstrates slight regression of right mediastinal adenopathy and parenchymal infiltration, as well as decreased diaphragmatic elevation. The left lung remains clear. The infection was reportedly acquired in East Point, Georgia, through exposure to contaminated fomites.
