This photograph depicts a posterior view of a young girl’s back, highlighting a scattered erythematous rash attributed to an Echovirus type 9 infection. Note that the appearance of this rash closely resembles that of rubella, also known as German measles. See PHIL 3173 and 14929 for two views of this patient’s facial rash.
