At a magnification of 600X, this photomicrograph reveals a close view of a simple septate conidiophore bearing multiple conidia of Curvularia geniculata, grown in a slide culture on Sabouraud dextrose agar. The specimen was isolated from a patient with mycotic keratitis and identified as a Ceylon isolate of C. geniculata. See PHIL 24674 for an image of a C. geniculata colony cultured from a corneal specimen obtained from the same patient.
