This image depicted a young boy, who was seated in a wheelchair inside a clinical setting, while awaiting the results of his metabolic study. The child was diagnosed with a muscular degenerative disease, accompanied by an abnormal heme pigment metabolism, and a massive porphobilinogenuria, an inherited disease belonging to the group of illnesses known as porphyrias.
