This image depicted an anterior view of a seated child in a clinical setting. The picture highlighted abnormalities that had manifested due to a recessive genetic disorder referred to as Donohue syndrome, formerly referred to as leprechaunism. Of the disorder’s many possible symptoms, affected individuals may present with a thickening and bronzing of the skin, both of which can be seen in the case of this 3-year-old boy. Also note the boy’s low-set ears, flared nostrils, and widely-spaced eyes. See PHIL 25036 through 25043, for other views of this patient’s condition.
