Under a magnification of 166X, this photomicrograph highlights the structural morphology of the fungal organism, Fusarium dimerum. An extensive network of darkly stained, septate hyphae is visible throughout this tissue specimen, which was harvested from a patient with Fusarium keratitis, a fungal infection of the cornea.
