This image depicts a pediatric patient lying on her right side on a clinical gurney, demonstrating numerous cutaneous macular and purpuric lesions over the upper and lower extremities attributed to Henoch-Schönlein purpura, also known as IgA vasculitis. The patient ultimately succumbed to the illness. See PHIL 25167, 25169, and 25170 for additional views of the patient’s condition.
