Caption:
This photomicrograph highlights the microscopic morphology of two parasitic Schistosoma mansoni cercariae processed using the indirect fluorescent antibody (IFA) technique. Following incubation with S. mansoni-specific patient serum, washing, and application of a fluorescent conjugate, the preparation was washed again prior to examination, resulting in the bright immunofluorescent labeling observed here.
