This photomicrograph highlights the microscopic morphology of two parasitic Schistosoma mansoni cercariae processed using the indirect fluorescent antibody (IFA) technique. Following incubation with S. mansoni-specific patient serum and application of a fluorescent conjugate, the cercariae exhibit bright immunofluorescent labeling along their surface structures.
