Under 166X magnification, this photomicrograph shows a 10% potassium hydroxide (KOH)-mounted skin scraping specimen obtained from a pig, demonstrating fungal elements consistent with Microsporum nanum infection. Numerous branching hyphae form a network throughout the keratinized tissue.
