This 1984 image was from a book entitled, A Day in the Life of a Medical Detective, by Sandra L. Ford, published by Time/Life, Inc. Here (L-R), Dr. Frank "Rick" Richards, Rick Allman, ranked #2 among Emory University medical students for that year, and Gay Weaver, a Centers for Disease Control (CDC) nurse, now retired from the CDC Occupational Clinic, were preparing a syringe prior to the administration of its contents.
