This image shows a close view of the eyes of a 3-month-old male infant with congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection and associated chorioretinitis (see PHIL 25341). Bilateral conjunctivitis is present, with white exudate pooling along the lower eyelids. Hemorrhage within the peribulbar tissues is also suspected (see PHIL 25343).
