This was a photomicrograph of a trypticase soy broth specimen without dextrose, which had contained the bacterium Listeria monocytogenes, and was processed using the fluorescent antibody (FA) method, thereby, revealing the presence of numerous Gram-positive, L. monocytogenes bacteria.
