This historic photograph was captured in September 1975 during a visit by Secretary of the Department of Health, Education, and Welfare (DHEW), Dr. Forrest David Mathews, to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) headquarters on the Roybal Campus in metropolitan Atlanta, Georgia. During his visit, Dr. Mathews stepped into an office to meet with CDC staff member Ed Kennedy, Jr., where they are shown discussing matters related to the visit.
