Caption:
This photograph depicted a close right lateral view of a Guinea pig, Cavia porcellus, highlighting a region on the animal’s right flank, that was inoculated with the fungal organism, Microsporum vanbreuseghemii, designated 45-1086-60, isolated from a canine infection. At 8-days-old, note the resultant crusty, erythematous dermatophytic skin reaction to the M. vanbreuseghemii inoculation. See PHIL 26289, for another view of this reaction.
