Caption:
This photographic montage of six images illustrates the results of a leptospiral macroscopic slide agglutination test. The top row shows a negative reaction (far left), an equivocal (±) reaction (center), and a 1+ positive reaction (far right), while the bottom row demonstrates increasing degrees of positivity from 2+ to 4+. Agglutination is recorded as positive (+) when definite clumping occurs, doubtful (±) when only slight clumping is present, and negative (–) when the serum–antigen mixture remains evenly suspended.
