Under 1000X magnification, this photomicrograph highlights morphologic features of the fungal organism Paracoccidioides brasiliensis in its yeast phase. Note mother yeast cells with multiple budding daughter cells distributed around the periphery, imparting a characteristic “steering-wheel” appearance.
