This photograph depicts a left lateral view of a bovine tongue exhibiting pathologic changes consistent with actinobacillosis. The tongue is enlarged and shows an ulceration on its left lateral surface. Actinobacillosis is caused by Gram-negative bacteria of the genus Actinobacillus.
