This image depicts a frontal view of a Petri dish culture plate containing Sabouraud dextrose agar that had been inoculated with the fungal organism, Rhizopus arrhizus, also known as Rhizopus oryzae. The culture gave rise to a dense, fuzzy, cottony-textured colony.
