This photomicrograph of a brain tissue specimen from a case of rabies was processed using Sellers stain and reveals the presence of a Negri inclusion body at the center of the field. Note the classic magenta coloration of the Negri body and its speckled appearance, marked by scattered dark-blue basophilic granules.
