Under a magnification of 60X, this photomicrograph shows a cardiac muscle tissue specimen obtained from a patient with Fiedler’s myocarditis, an idiopathic condition. This granulomatous form of myocarditis is characterized by interstitial infiltration of the myocardium, primarily composed of lymphocytes and monocytes.
