At a greater magnification than PHIL 27250, this scanning electron microscopic (SEM) image highlights some of the ultrastructural morphology exhibited by a single unidentified, Leptospira sp. bacterial organism. Note how the organism’s protoplasmic cylinder wraps in a spiral configuration around its axial filament.
