This photograph depicts the right hand of Epidemic Intelligence Service (EIS) officer, Erin Ricketts (EIS Class of 2021), as it was holding up a jar of ticks collected in North Carolina, during an investigation of tickborne illness. In one afternoon, the investigators collected over 500-ticks for testing at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
