This radiograph depicts an anteroposterior (AP) view of a patient’s chest, highlighting pulmonary changes consistent with histoplasmosis caused by the fungal organism Histoplasma capsulatum. The image was obtained in 1956 at the Kansas City, Kansas, public health field station. See PHIL 27570 for an x-ray view of this same patient in 1962.
