Under a magnification of 1960X, this photomicrograph highlighted some of ultrastructural morphology exhibited by the fungal organism, Phialophora verrucosa. You will note the clearly septate hyphal filaments, as well as the clumps of mucilaginous conidia produced atop a phialide, located at the distal end of each respective conidiophore.
