Caption:
This anterior view of a cat’s head highlighted the healthy appearance of the animal’s skin and fur. See PHIL 27816, for the appearance of this cat after becoming infected by the dermatophytic fungal organism, Microsporum canis, and had exhibited symptoms of the ensuing dermatophytosis, commonly referred to as ringworm. Here, the feline had been provided with 2-weeks of antifungal treatment with Griseofulvin, which removed the M. canis organisms, thereby, curing this fungal infection.
