This image depicted a dorsal view of a cat’s back and tail, highlighting the crusty rash that had been caused by a dermatophytic infection, commonly referred to as ringworm, a form of tinea, due to the fungal organism, Microsporum canis. This view was captured prior to beginning any antifungal medicinal therapy, the results of which can be seen in PHIL 27820.
