Caption:
This image depicted a dorsal view of a cat’s back and tail, highlighting the healthy appearance of the animal’s fur. The feline had been infected with the fungal organism, Microsporum canis, and had developed a crusty dermatophytosis over this region, which could be seen in PHIL 27819. At this point, the cat had been provided with the antifungal medication, Griseofulvin, for 14-days, resulting in the restoration of its furry coat.
