This image depicted a dorsal view of a cat’s back and tail, highlighting the healthy appearance of the animal’s fur. The feline had been infected with the fungal organism, Microsporum canis, and had developed a crusty dermatophytosis over these regions, which could be seen in PHIL 27819. At this point, the cat had been provided with the antifungal medication, Griseofulvin, for 4-days, resulting in a marked reduction in inflammation and hair loss.
