This image shows the parts that compose what is referred to as a Rowan cercariae collector’s filtration chamber, used to filter water suspected of being contaminated by infective schistosome cercariae. The water is filtered through the filtration paper disks while under pressure. In this way, cercariae are filtered out of the water to be analyzed in the laboratory setting.
